EDIA, S.A is a public company created in 1995 by the Portuguese government to design, build and manage the Multi Purpose Alqueva Project, the largest hydro-agricultural project ever undertaken in Portugal and one of the largest in Europe. Its headquartered are in Beja, at the center of the Project and the company is equipped with the technical and operational means to carry out its mission. In this way, EDIA, as the Managing Company of the Alqueva Project, is responsible for a relevant instrument to boost the economy, positioning itself as a strategic reference, contributing to the development not only of the region but also of the Country.
